Kyle DeNise (Liller) Woods was born in Borger, Texas on Dec. 1, 1951, to K.D. and Addie Elizabeth (Loveday) Liller. She passed away at her home in Marlow surrounded by her family on Tuesday, April 30, 2024 at the age of 72.

A memorial service is planned for 10 a.m., Friday, May 3, at Ray of Hope Church with Pastor Mike McCord officiating. Arrangements have been entrusted to Whitt Funeral Home/Oakcrest Cremation Center.

Kyle graduated from Empire High School and attended Cameron University where she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Education. She married the love of her life, Kenneth “Kenny” Woods on Oct.20, 1972. Together they raised their two children, Krystal and Kevin.

After working in retail for 20 years, Kyle taught social studies and civics. Teaching was her passion, and she made an impact on many students’ lives during her 23 years as a middle school teacher in the Marlow Public School system. In her free time, she enjoyed planting plants and working in her yard. Kyle’s greatest love was for her family and she spent her time keeping up with her grandsons and attending all their wrestling, golf, and football activities. She will be dearly missed and remembered as a loving wife, mother, and Nana.

Kyle is preceded in death by her parents; son, Kevin Woods; brother, Sammy Liller; sister, Nancy Morris; mother-in-law, Wanda Robnett; brothers-in-law: James Woods, Gayle McAdoo; sister-in-law, Judy Woods; and nephew, Ronnie Wayne Scott.

Survivors include her husband of 51 years, Kenny Woods; daughter, Krystal DeNise Doucet and husband Benji; grandchildren: Jon Townsend and wife Lauren, Konner Doucet, Kooper Doucet, Kutter Doucet; great-grandchild on the way, Emerson Lane; sisters-in-law: Reba Liller and Patsy McAdoo; nieces: Kaycee Kelnhofer and husband Dustin, Sheri Scott; nephews: Charles Scott and wife Gayla, Kory Liller and wife Kayla, Kolton Liller; and lifelong friends, Anna Doucet and Becky Lightner.
