Eunice Evelyn Goss

Eunice Evelyn Goss, a longtime Addington resident, peacefully passed away, with her family by her side, on Monday evening, October 19, 2020, at her home. She was 94 years old. A funeral service was held on Saturday, October 24 at the Addington Baptist Church, with burial following at Addington Cemetery.
Eunice was born November 12, 1925, in Ada, OK to Samuel W. and Minttie (Jinkins) Morrison. She attended school at Happyland, in Ada. She married Troy Goss on October 12, 1953, in Poteau, OK.
She was a strong woman of faith, having read her Bible through thirteen times. She loved her church, her family, gardening, especially growing flowers and, canning. She made beautiful hand-pieced quilts and gifted over one hundred of them to her children and grandchildren. Her specialty was applique and embroidery. She loved playing Dominos with her family. She was a homemaker, and also did housekeeping and yardwork in Addington and Waurika. Eunice was an outstanding cook, and she loved baking Chocolate Chip Cookies, Coconut Cream Pies, Divinity, and LBJ Desserts.
Survivors include her children: Bob Stringer, Duncan, OK; David Goss and wife Annette, Graham, TX; Dennis Goss and wife Dee, Ryan, OK; Jessie Goss, Waurika, OK; Teresa Biffle and husband Rodney, Comanche, OK; Beverly Kafer and husband Gary, Duncan, OK; Becky Nunley and husband Michael, Edmond, OK; and Karen Snider and husband Roy, Waurika, OK; a son in law Johnny Jackson, Farmers Branch, TX; one sister, Shirley Looney, Addington, OK; twenty-three grandchildren, forty-one great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
