Francis Eilene Riddles

Francis Eilene (Alexander) Riddles, a lifelong resident of Stephens County, peacefully passed away on Nov. 5, 2020 at the Duncan Regional Hospital. She was 84 years old. A funeral service was held on Monday, Nov. 9 at the pavilion at Fairlawn Cemetery, with Bro. Billy Morgan officiating.

Eilene was born July 7, 1936 in Duncan to Alonzo and Erma Alexander. She attended school in Duncan. After graduating, Eilene worked various jobs, including Hagger Slacks, Immanuel Baptist Church, Halliburton (Export Shipping) and at Love’s Country Store, where she served as store manager.

Survivors include two children: Rebecca Harp, and Bill Alan Smith and his wife Rose; grandchildren: Chad Alan, Taylor, Michelle, Dillon, Becca, Selena, Diego, and Arianna; her great-grandchildren: Tyler, Bradley, Wesley, Angel, Clifford, Kamdyn, and Stella; and other dear friends and family.

Eilene was preceded in death by her parents, Alonzo and Erma Alexander; her husband Clifford Riddles; her first husband Billy Gene Smith; brothers: Clifford Alexander and Glen Dale Alexander; a sister, Virginia Gibson; and a grandson, Chris Cates.

Eilene was very fond of her daughter-in-law, Rose; always there to help her with anything she needed, including cooking, cleaning, and loving care for the past 2 1/2 years.
