Nancy Lynn Mears Skeen

Nancy Lynn Mears Skeen, 73, of Amarillo, Texas, formerly of Ft. Worth, passed into Heaven on Feb. 16, 2022. Services were graveside in Dixie on Saturday, Feb. 19, 2022.

Nancy was born in San Saba, Texas on April 1, 1948, to John Carter Mears and Maxine Mears White. She had five brothers, Martin, James, Jackie, Bobby and Ronnie Mears. She married James A. Skeen on Aug. 15, 1964, spending over 54 years together. James and Nancy did many things together as a family with their children. They enjoyed horses, trips to the lake, spending time with family. Nancy worked at Levi's until it closed, then she and James became over-the-road truck drivers for over 20 years.

Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, James, both her parents, three of her brothers, James, Jackie & Bobbie Mears. Their great-granddaughter, Tielyr Skeen.

Survivors include daughter Brenda Borchardt and husband Lynn, sons Ron Skeen and wife Amanda, Randy Skeen and wife Vicki, Greg Skeen and wife Stacy all of Amarillo, Texas, eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
