Clement Duane OBrien

Clement Duane “Clem” OBrien, age 90, a resident of Comanche, passed away in the early hours of March 8, 2024 at Duncan Regional Hospital.

Clem was born March 14, 1933 in Cohassett, Minn., to Clement William and Beth (Mertes) OBrien. He and Darlene Joyce Schumacher were united in marriage on Aug. 13, 1957 in Minnesota. They lived in several states over the years, and had recently moved to Comanche, coming from Lake George, Colo. Clem worked for Honeywell Corporation. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.

Survivors include his wife Darlene, of the home; four children: Lori Ganem and husband Mike, Broomfield, Colo., Tom OBrien and wife Marybeth, Comanche, Susan Wintersteen and husband Joe, Elizabeth, CO, and Jane OBrien and husband Jay, Wayne, Neb.; two siblings, Keith OBrien, Katie, and Kathy South, Grand Rapids, Minn.; eight grandchildren: Mitchell, Tyler, Lisa, Kara, Bobby, Jameson, Harrison, and Ian; and eight great-grandchildren: Nathanial, Orizah, Ezron, Remi, Arieth, Everleigh “Evey”, McKynlee, and Breckyn.
