Janice Tilley Schumacher

Janice (Tilley) Schumacher was born on April 21, 1953, in Duncan to John Doyle and Annabelle Nora (Williams) Tilley. She passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2022, at the age of 68.

Janice grew up in Comanche where she graduated high school in 1971. After moving away for several years, she found her way back to her hometown and made her home with her two daughters. She graduated with a degree in education from Cameron University. Janice was a dedicated Special Education teacher for over 20 years at Empire Schools. She was an active member of Comanche First Baptist Church throughout her life. Her life was a true reflection of her love for Jesus. She always loved without question, gave to those who needed, and put the needs of others before her own.

Janice was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Patsy, and her husband Robert White; sister, Winnie, and her husband George Radino; brother, Jerry Tilley Sr.; brother, Freddie Tilley, Sr., and his wife Betty; brother, Ricky Tilley; and brother, James Tilley.
She is survived by her daughters: Annie Wiley and husband Jhonathan Sr. of Oklahoma City, Jaime Crow and husband Brandon Crow of Norman; grandchildren: Jhonathan Wiley Jr., Graham Wiley, Finley Crow, Ellis Wiley, Saylow Crow, Collins Crow; sisters: Kaye Easter and husband Ron of Roanoke, TX; sister-in-law, Lynn Tilley of Comanche, OK; sister-in-law, Michelle Tilley of Comanche; many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members and friends.

A Celebration of Life was held Monday, Feb. 21, 2022, at the Comanche First Baptist Church. Interment was in the Fairlawn Cemetery in Comanche. The family has entrusted the services to Whitt Funeral Home/Oakcrest Cremation Center.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that remembrances be made in the form of contributions to the Christian Helping Hands in Comanche.
