Voters to decide on school bond

Next Tuesday, voters in the Comanche Public School district will go to the polls to decide whether to opt in on a bond issue totaling $3.95 million for the district.
The funds will go towards constructing a new music room/storm shelter and high school renovations including a safe room, a new vocational-agricultural vehicle, band instruments and uniforms, district-wide roof repairs, greenhouse renovations, resurfacing the track, elementary playground improvements and technology upgrades.
The current band room would become a commons area where students could go before school during inclement weather or other times.
There is no projected tax increase on the five-year bond. The bond would replace the current technology and security upgrade bonds that are about to roll off the tax books.
