Powerlifting team wraps up season

The Comanche powerlifting team found success this past season.

At the Plainview meet on Jan. 20, Payton Jones placed second at the 145-pound division; Heath Hinshaw placed third at the 157-pound division; and Trey Lingelbach placed fourth at the 242-pound division.

At a meet in Chickasha on Feb. 16, Hinshaw placed second at 157 pounds and Caden White placed second at 168 pounds.

On March 3, Hinshaw placed first at the regional powerlifting meet in Anadarko at 145 pounds. The win qualified him for the state competition held last Saturday in El Reno where he placed fourth. Hinshaw set three personal bests in the squat (385 pounds), bench press (220 pounds) and deadlift (455 pounds) at the state meet.
