Cross country gets preview of state course in Edmond
The Comanche cross country teams compete got a taste of the state meet course at the Pre-State Meet at Edmond Santa Fe last Saturday.
The Comanche boys finished eighth as a team in Class 3A. Brycen Lassley led Comanche with a 30th place finish (20:34.78). The next four Comanche runners finished closely together with Gage Jessen finishing 54th, Aiden Frye, 59th, Erik Roy, 64th and Makisig Rogers 65th. There were 122 runners competing.
On the girls side, only three girls ran, two short of what was needed to record a team score.
Brilee Combs had the best day, finishing 10th with a time of 14:10.62). Karsynn Boles finished in 47th place and Ava Foraker finished 57th. There were 118 runners competing.
Walters Meet
The Comanche boys took first place as a team at the Walters Meet on on Sept. 12.
Lassley finished third overall, followed by Frye in 9th, Jessen in 10th and Rogers in 14th.
On the girls side, Brilee Combs finished in seventh.
In junior high girls, the Lady Indians placed fourth. Ellie Schreiner was fifth overall and Emma Milburn was second on the team. On the boys side, Joseph Jando was sixth and Ridge Hall was seventh.
