Comanche/Empire District Fair coming soon

hance to show their handiwork and their livestock from the past year at the 2024 Comanche/Empire District Fair which will take place in Comanche next month.

Exhibits will be displayed at the Patterson Avenue Baptist Church event center from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Aug. 9.

The livestock show will be held Aug. 10 beginning at 8 a.m. at the Comanche Ag Complex across the street from the high school.

Fair entries will only be accepted from 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. on Aug. 9 at the event center. These entries are household sciences, flowers, baked goods, canning, art, photography, 4-H, horticulture and crops, forage crops, fruits and vegetables.

There will also be new categories this year with more junior divisions and new classes.

A Best of Show will be awarded in all categories.

All entries must be made, preserved, or grown by the exhibitor during the past year.

Judging will be completed before the fair reopens on Aug. 9 at 10:30 a.m.

All exhibits will be released at 4 p.m. on Aug. 9.

All livestock entries will be accepted at the Comanche Ag Complex on Aug. 10 at 8 a.m.

Show order will be cattle, swine, sheep and goats.

Oak College OHCE will hold a fundraiser selling pulled pork sandwiches and chips for $7 from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Aug. 9. They will be also selling homemade cobblers for $3.
