Police department swears in officers

The Comanche Police Department ceremoniously swore in their newest officers last Friday.

Assistant chief Terri Bruce, officers Clinton Corley, Leonardo Ramirez and Timothy McClinsey took their oath from Judge Candace Morris in the City Council chambers.

The other officer, John Anderson, was on duty and was not able to attend and was sworn in separately.

Police Chief Cory Faulk thanked the officers for their support of the community and the department.

“My officers are commmitted to making this a better, safer community for all residents,”Faulk said.

The department is committed to being more community oriented, focusing on community policing.

“Our goal is to make this deparment better than it ever has been,” Faulk said.

The officers have been gaining advanced training in areas such as Narcan administration, advanced roadside driving impairment and several others.

“We will continue to gain training to improve ourselves and our ability to serve this community,” Faulk said. “They will help each other grow in their careers and become public servants. While change does not happen overnight but is a process of time, we will continue to improve the department to better fit the needs of the community.
