Empire judging team success

The Empire FFA took 53 students to the livestock judging contest at the Stephens County Free Fair in Duncan on Aug. 29. 

Empire received first place overall in the senior team, which included Kylie Lemons, Kami Mcmahan, Kamdyn Whetstone and Cole Lineman. Lineman was also fifth high individual in the senior division.

The Empire 4-H team also received first overall. The team consisted of Devri Darbonne, Granger Anderson, Kylee Thornton and Creed Thornton. Anderson was second overall individual and Darbonne was fifth overall.

Another 4-H team received third overall. That team consisted of Lukas Presgrove, Wyatt Bunn, Breyer Jackson and John Barker.

Emilee Solie was fourth overall in the Jr. FFA individual category.
