Sheriff releases details on incident west of Comanche

The following is a statement from Stephens County Sheriff Rick Lang on the incident west of Comanche on Tuesday night.
"On 09/17/2024 the Stephens County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call stating a white male had attempted to force entry into an occupied house on north 2800 Road west of Comanche, Oklahoma. While enroute to the location we received a second 911 call stating a white male had forced entry into a second and separate home and shots had been fired.
"On 09/17/2024 the Stephens County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call stating a white male had attempted to force entry into an occupied house on north 2800 Road west of Comanche, Oklahoma. While enroute to the location we received a second 911 call stating a white male had forced entry into a second and separate home and shots had been fired.
Upon arrival deputies found a white male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Emergency medical personnel attempted to revive the individual but were unsuccessful. The subject was declared dead at the scene.
Investigators continue to process evidence and take statements from witnesses. When the investigation is completed all facts will be presented to the District Attorney.
At this time no arrests have been made."
