Lday Indians finishing up schedule as postseason nears

The Comanche Lady Indians wrapped up their regular season on Tuesday at home against Marlow. The past week, Comanche stayed busy with four games on the road. Regional assignments will be released on Oct. 1. The Lady Indians will be the No. 4 seed out of District 3A-1.
Sept. 17

Comanche 0
The Lady Indians were limited to one hit as Caity Ramsey broke up a no-hitter in the top of the fifth with a single to left field.
Walters scored one run in the bottom of the fourth to break a scoreless tie and then added two more runs in the fifth.
Cloey Kinkade was the losing pitcher, giving up one earned run on four hits. She struck out three and walked none.
Sept. 19
Duncan 10
Comanche 2
The Lady Demons hosted the Lady Indians in Duncan’s annual Pink Out game with the home team coming out on top.
Duncan scored in every inning, starting with three runs in the bottom of the first to take an early lead. Comanche returned with two runs in the top of the second to cut the lead to 3-2, but they would get no closer.
In the top of the second, Jentry Whaley, who had earlier doubled, scored on an error for the first run. A two-out walk by Raelee Ellis later in the inning brought home Cloey Kinkade for the second run.
Whaley, Ellis and Caity Ramsey all went 1-for-2 in the game.
Kinkade was the losing pitcher, surrendering 11 hits and six earned runs. She struck out one and walked one.
Sept. 21
Turner 6
Comanche 1
The Lady Indians took a 1-0 lead in the first inning, but it would not hold up as Turner scored three runs in the top of the third and then added three more over the final two innings.
Comanche was limited to one hit, an RBI single by Jaylee Roebuck that scored Raelee Ellis, who had walked and stole second earlier.
Cloey Kinkade was the losing pitcher, giving up 13 hits and two earned runs. She struck out three and walked one.

Comanche 2
Wilson broke a 2-all tie with three runs in the top of the fourth to take the lead for good.
The Lady Eagles had scored two runs in the first to go up 2-0. Comanche got one run back in the bottom half of the inning on an RBI single by Cassidy Smith that scored Jaylee Roebuck, who had doubled.
Smith also brought in the second run of the game in the third to tie the game with another RBI single that scored pinch runner Keely Peacock.
Smith and O’Connor each had two hits. Roebuck went 3-for-3 in the contest.
Jentry Whaley was the losing pitcher, giving up two earned runs on three hits. She struck out five and walked two.
