Trump wins big in Stephens County

Former President Donald Trump will be making a return trip to the White House following a dominating performance against Vice President Kamala Harris at the state and national levels on Nov. 5.
More than 60 percent of registered Stephens County voters cast ballots in the election. Trump, the Republican nominee, easily outpaced the Democrat nominee, securing 15,084 votes to Harris’ 3,233, taking 81 percent of the vote.
At the national level, Trump got 312 electoral college votes to Harris’ 226, winning 32 of the 50 states. He also won the popular vote by almost five million.
Trump also once again swept all 77 Oklahoma counties. West Virginia was the only other state where Trump won every county.
Trump will be inaugurated as the 47th president on Jan. 20, 2025.
The GOP continued its dominance in the state races. Republican J. Brian Bingham won the corporation commissioner race.
In the only legislative race in Stephens County, Republican Kendal Sacchieri defeated Democrat Sam Graef for the District 43 seat formerly held by Jessica Garvin.
Incumbent U.S. Rep. Tom Cole easily defeated Democrat challenger Mary Brannon in the U.S. Representative District 4 race. In Stephens County he had a 14,365 to 2,787 margin.
Republicans took all five representative seats.
