Coletta (Wall) Davis

December 26, 2024

Coletta (Wall) Davis was born June 23, 1932, to Ruth and A.G. (Boy) Wall at their home east of Comanche.  Coletta joined her husband, Ivan, and her parents in Heaven on Dec. 24, 2024, at her home in Courm, where she lived all her adult life. She was 92 years old.
Coletta married Ivan M. Davis on June 10, 1955. They purchased a farm and built their home in Corum. Coletta and Ivan had three children: Mike, Vickie, and Lisa. Coletta raised her three children as a single mom after Ivan’s death in November of 1963.  Her kids and eventually her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her life. Coletta instilled into her three children a strong work ethic, a love for family, and most important, a love for God.
Coletta was a farmer for the majority of her life. She worked hard and could do more work than most men. She raised wheat and cattle with the help of her brother, Charles. She enjoyed working in her flower beds, gardening, and sewing.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ivan; her parents, Boy and Ruth Wall; brother, Buster Wall; and two sisters, Sue McDaniel and Wanda Stogsdill; and one son-in-law, Bo Christian.
Coletta is survived by her three children: Mike Davis and wife Kathy; Vickie Stepp and husband Lee Wayne; and Lisa Ledford. She is also survived by eight grandchildren: Rachael Bachand and husband Justin; Rebecca Davis, Nicholas Davis, Sarah Everett and husband Jon; Matthew Christian and wife Jordon; Kayla Guerra and husband Erik; Melissa Hixon and husband Zac; and Breanna Ledford; 16 great-grandchildren; a brother Charles Wall and wife Jean; four sisters: Bobbye Davis, Pat Brown,  Maudene Scott, and Norene Stogsdill and husband Harold; and many other relatives and friends.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, Dec. 28at 10 a.m. at the pavilion at Fairlawn Cemetery with Bro. Bruce Humphries officiating, under the direction of Comanche Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions can be made to Chisholm Trail Hospice or an organization of choice.
