Ronald Keith Churchman

Ronald Keith Churchman peacefully passed away on Friday, Jan. 24. 2025, at his home in Teague, Texas. He was 83 years old.
Ron was born in Hastings on Aug. 31, 1941, and grew up in Corum, graduating from high school in Comanche. After high school, he enlisted in the Army and served on the base in Fairbanks, Alaska and was honorably discharged. 
After his time in the Army, he moved back to Oklahoma where he began his lifelong career in the oilfield business beginning as a Roughneck for Halliburton in Duncan. He moved to Texas and spent the rest of his career with Otis Engineering (a division of Halliburton) where he was a technician, engineer, and oilfield salesman before then retiring as a product manager in 1994. 
During his time at Otis, he authored, designed and patented 13 unique tools and methods for use in the oil field and traveled all over the world.   He was also an avid bowler and was awarded the coveted 300 ring multiple times. In his later years, he authored and published two novels, “Yesterday’s Hero” and “Starvation Flats”.
He is survived by his daughters Diana Incaviglia and husband, Ronda McMeen and husband, four grandchildren, and numerous relatives including nieces, nephews, step-grandchildren and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, E.C. “Skeet” Churchman and Algerine Garison Churchman; two brothers, Joe Churchman and James Churchman; one sister Joyce Curren; and one nephew Michael Hughes.
Services were not held at his request. Donations to the American Kidney Fund can be made in his honor.
