Comanche baseball goes 2-2 over week

The Comanche baseball team avenged a shutout loss 24 hours later last Tuesday. On Monday, the Indians were limited to two hits in a 10-0 district loss at Lexington. On Tuesday, the Indians pounded out 13 hits and held off a late rally to earn an 8-6 win over Lexington.
Comanche had built a 5-2 lead through four innings before Lexington scored three runs in the top of the fifth to tie the game.
The Indians took the lead back in the bottom of the sixth with three runs of their own when Payton Jones picked up an RBI double, Jones scored on an error and Evan Dodd got an RBI single.
Lexington got one run back in the top of the seventh, but Comanche held on for the win.
Carson Vansickle led the Indians at the plate going 3-for-4 with a run scored and two RBI. Cooper Dobbins, Koble Lewis and Dodd had two hits each. Jones, Levi Slovak, Kaison Votruba and Hawk Thompson each had a hit.
Vansickle was the winning pitcher, giving up six hits, no earned runs and striking out 16 in 6.2 innings of work. Dodd picked up the save by recording the last out.

The Comets led most of the game before the Indians tied the game with two runs in the bottom of the fifth inning. Comanche then took the lead for the first time in the game in the bottom of the sixth when Kaison Votruba swatted an RBI double.
Payton Jones, Kanan Clift and Votruba had two hits each to lead Comanche at the plate. Evan Dodd also had a hit.
Cooper Dobbins started the game on the mound and pitched the first three innings before being relieved by Jones to close out the final three innings.

A late rally by the Indians fell short as they lost to the home team.
The Bombers had built a 6-0 lead after the first three innings before the Indians got on the scoreboard with two runs in the top of the fourth. Frederick answered with a run in the bottom half of the inning to take a 7-2 lead.
The Indians made it interesting in the top of the sixth, scoring four runs, but it would not be enough as the Bombers held on for the win.
Seven different Comanche players had one hit each. Carson Vansickle and Payton Jones both had RBI doubles. Levi Slovak had a 2-RBI single, Evan Dodd had an RBI single and Cooper Dobbins, Clayton Brantner and Hawk Thompson picked up hits.
Comanche sent Jones, Slovak and Dodd to the mound with Jones taking the loss.

The Indians took the early lead and then held on the rest of the way for the win.
Comanche scored one run in the first, three in the second, and one in the fifth.
The Indians had six hits with Kanon Clift leading the way by going 2-for-3 with a double and run scored. Payton Jones and Levi Slovak had two RBI each. Cooper Dobbins had an RBI and Evan Dodd had a hit.
Dobbins was the winning pitcher, tossing 4.1 innings, giving up one earned run and striking out eight. Levi Slovak started the game on the mound.

The second game played at Lawton wasn’t as kind as the first as the Indians were limited to two hits and had six errors, allowing the Demons to run away with the game.
Comanche cut the lead to 4-2 in the bottom of the second, but the Indians would get no closer. Beggs scored six runs in the fourth and five runs in the fifth to pull away.
Bryson Goedhart had a 2-RBI double to lead Comanche at the plate. Cooper Dobbins also had a hit.
The Indians are 6-4 on the season with the next game slated for Monday at Comanche.
