Jr. Indians pick up home win

Comanche Middle School broke open a close game in the bottom of the fourth inning to defeat Marietta Jr. High, 12-3, in a battle of the Indians in Comanche on Monday.
The game featured a couple of early lead changes before Comanche was able to go ahead for good.
Comanche spotted Marietta a run in the top of the first before scoring two runs in the bottom half of the inning to take a 2-1 lead. Marietta answered with two more runs in the top of the second to retake the lead, but Comanche scored three times in the bottom half of the inning to take the lead for good.
After holding the visitors scoreless in the top of the third, Comanche exploded for seven runs in the bottom half to take a commanding 12-3 lead. Comanche then held Marietta scoreless in the fourth to get the win.
Comanche scored 12 runs on just four hits as Marietta committed five errors and pitchers issued 11 walks.
Kai Rendon did his job on the mound for Comanche striking out 11 batters and giving up no earned runs on three hits and five walks.
Jaxon Spencer led Comanche at the plate going 1-for-2 with two runs scored and three RBI. Mason Hinsley was 1-for-1 with two RBI, while Blayn Hinsley and Paxton Jones each had a hit with two runs scored. Jones also had an RBI.
With the win, Comanche improved to 4-2 on the season. The next game is scheduled for Friday at Eisenhower in Lawton.
