Comanche man arrested on assault charges

The search for a suspect of a domestic abuse and child abuse case led to a large police presence in Comanche near the old school in south Comanche on Saturday.
According to court records, a Stephens County deputy was dispatched to the Comanche Police Department where an adult female and her children were at the station following an alleged incident involving Loy Dominey, Jr., age 36, of Comanche.
According to the affidavit, the deputy noticed the back window and the windshield of the victim’s car were smashed in.
The woman said she, her children and Dominey were headed home from a soccer match in Duncan when Loy, who had been drinking, accused her of cheating on him.
He allegedly hit her a couple of times at a restaurant drive-thru and then later as they were driving down Highway 81. After arriving home, the woman refused to get out of the car with her children and locked the doors. Loy allegedly threw a push mower at the windshield and a back window. She stated that she left the residence and drove to the Comanche Police Department.
Some of the glass had cut the children sitting in the back.
Several deputies went to the residence to make contact with Loy, but he was not at the residence or at another residence where his truck had been seen. The sheriff’s department posted they were looking for him on social media. They later said that he had been found and was under arrest.
Dominey is being charged with domestic abuse, assault and battery and two counts of child abuse.
Dominey made his initial court appearance on Monday where his bail was set for $50,000. It was unclear as of press time if he had posted bail.
