Bobbye Jean 'Nan' Davis

Bobbye Jean “Nan” Davis, a lifelong resident of Comanche passed away Saturday, May 3, 2025 at her home, surrounded by loved ones. She was 87 years old. A graveside funeral service will be held on Monday, May 5 at 11 a.m. at Fairlawn Cemetery, under the direction of Comanche Funeral Home.
Nan was born Jan. 18, 1938 in Comanche, to A.G. "Boy” and Ruth Wall. She graduated from Comanche High School. On Feb. 9, 1956 she was united in marriage to Melvin Davis. She worked various jobs, including Haggar Slack, Grandview School, Woolworth, Wanda Central Vacuum, Comanche School Greenhouse, and as a babysitter. She enjoyed working in her flower garden, sewing, canning, and taking care of the grandkids.
Survivors include four daughters: Carla O’Kelley and husband Chris, Duncan; Beth Bazzrea and husband Sid, Ada; Robbie Davis, Cuero, Texas; and Kim Clampitt and husband Ronny, Loco; eight grandchildren: Toby Martin, Mallory Winslett, Ryan O’Kelley, Kevin O’Kelley, Molly Blackford, Claire Ellis, Walker Clampitt, and Lynze Martin; eight grandchildren: Grady and Kynlee Martin, Hannah and Hayden Winslett, Lexie and Hudson Edgar, Kyler Naifeh, and Lisa Ellis; her siblings: Charles Wall, Patsy Brown, Maudene Scott, and Norene Stogsdill; and numerous other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Boy and Ruth Wall; granddaughter, Jill Martin, her husband, Melvin Davis, a brother, Buster Wall, and sisters Coletta Davis, Mary Sue McDaniel, and Wanda Stogsdill.
Serving as pallbearers will be Toby Martin, Walker Clampitt, Grady Martin, Kevin O’Kelley, Ryan O’Kelley, and Kynlee Martin.
