GARY MYERS 7/11/1944-10/05/2026

Gary Larue Myers was born on July 11, 1944, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, to Ray and Hallie (Lawson) Myers.  He went to be with his heavenly Father, on Monday, October 5, 2026, at the age of 82.

Gary graduated from Comanche High School in 1962 and went on to build a long and successful career in construction. A hardworking and dedicated man, Gary owned and operated a construction company for more than 50 years along with his partner Loren White. Through the years, he took great pride in his work and the many projects he completed.

When he wasn't working, Gary enjoyed fishing, golfing, and cooking. He also had a playful sense of humor and loved pulling pranks on those around him, always enjoying a good laugh. Gary was also a very giving person and would help do anything for anyone.

Family was especially important to him. He lovingly raised his son, Dann, along with Debbie and Amy, whom he loved and raised as his own daughters.  He treasured the time he was able to spend with them, and was especially grateful for Debbie, who helped care for him the last few months of his life.

Gary’s faith was an important part of his life. He loved his church family at Patterson Avenue Baptist Church and especially enjoyed the fellowship of his Sunday School class. Gary loved the Lord and faithfully read his Bible for as long as his eyesight allowed; his faith remained a source of strength and comfort throughout his life.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Bobby Myers; and sisters; Pat Feurehelm and Peggy Sanders.

Gary is survived by his son, Dann Myers, wife Mindy, and their daughter Katy Myers; Debbie Huber and her four children, and Amy Huber; as well as his sister, Barbara Gray.
