Curtis Ray Russell

Curtis Ray Russell, of Comanche was born Aug. 15, 1951 to Willard Jess Russell and Geneva Pearlee Russell. He passed away on Monday, March 15, 2021 in Dallas, Texas.

A memorial service will be held Friday, March 26, at 2:00 P.M. at Whitt Funeral Home in Duncan with David Morrow officiating. Arrangements have been entrusted to Whitt Funeral Home/Oakcrest Cremation Center.

Ray served in the US Army. He married the love of his life, Ellen Marie Epps, on June 28, 1977.

Ray is survived by his wife, Ellen; children: Chris Russell and fiance Ashley Sammons; Justin Russell and wife Lisa; daughter, Amanda “Mandie” Lehr; 7 grandchildren; and 5 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters and brother-in-law: Marie and Rick McCormick, Latha Parson, and Wilma Tidwell; brothers and sisters-in-law: Jimmie and Jennifer Russell; Clint and Leigha Russell: sister-in-law, Phyllis Russell; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Willard and Geneva Russell; sister and brother-in-law, Joyce and Delmer Dement; brother, Andy Russell; and infant brothers, Randell and Larry Russell.
