Local man arrested for child sexual abuse

A man with a residence south of Comanche was arrested for four counts of child sexual abuse by Stephens County deputies, according to court records.

On May 17, Richard Lee Mann, 46, was arrested after a minor reported he sexually assaulted them.

According to the affidavit, a deputy went to Mann’s residence, were he was taken in for questioning.

After being read his rights, Mann told deputies that he knew the reason he was brought to the station was because he had sex with the minor.

Mann allegedly went on to tell deputies of four separate occasions when he and the victim had intercourse over the course of a couple of weeks.

His bond was set at $500,000.
