Betty was a lifelong learner and teacher. She was a student of the Bible, and loved nothing more than sharing and teaching God’s word. She also served as a substitute teacher at Meridian Grade School and enjoyed telling tales of great humor from those challenging experiences. She enjoyed studying history, and was an avid reader. Betty was a charter member of the Comanche Garden Club and had an appreciation for nature’s beauty. She had a love for Iris’s and a gift for growing them; a gift she passed on to others. She was a keen bird watcher, and enjoyed feeding them and watching them raise youngsters. Betty was a huge sports fan. She enjoyed watching and cheering for the OU Sooners, and was a loyal Texas Rangers baseball fan.

Betty was a devoted daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She is survived by two children whom she loved and took great pride in, Major Noel David Roberts and wife Pam of Liberty Township Ohio, and Connie Roberts and spouse Toni Steele of Edmond; two grandchildren, Karen Leonard and husband Tad, and Nathan Roberts and girlfriend Angie Smith; and 6 great grandchildren.

When you think of Betty, celebrate the good memories you have of her. Remember that life is fragile and short, and should be lived to the fullest.
