Campbell to run for House District 50

April 14, 2022

Duncan resident Deborah Campbell recently announced her candidacy for House District 50. The seat is currently held by Marcus McEntire

The Republican said, “We have no room to compromise our values and principles, therefore we must stand up now.”

Campbell wants to see individual rights and parental rights protected and respected and that individuals should take personal responsibility for decisions whether positive or negative.

Campbell said that she would like to see Oklahoma become a self-reliant state, without accepting any aid from the federal government. That Oklahoma schools should sever ties with the U.S. Department of Education and prevent federal monies and programs from being accepted and implemented.

She believes a free market should be established that prohibits government from determining market prices and economic growth allowing citizens to own property and transfer it with no inheritance tax.

“Our natural resources should be used to create jobs and protect our economy,” Campbell said.

Campbell was born and raised in West Virginia in a Navy family and her husband was a 10-year Air Force veteran.

A volunteer for many community activities and organizations she has served as an EMS worker and worked in the Duncan Regional Hospital ER and spoken up for parental rights in the education system.

“I am ready to take a stand and serve my family, community and state in a new capacity and represent you in the Oklahoma State House of Representatives,” Campbell said. “The time has come for proactive leadership and to push back against the aggressive agenda sweeping the nation.”
