Roy Hollingsworth

Chief Petty Officer (Retired) Roy Hollinsworth passed away Monday, May 30, 2022, in Duncan, Oklahoma. Roy was born January 21, 1939 to parents, Oscar "Marvin" Hollinsworth and Addie (Calaway) Hollinsworth in Comanche, Oklahoma.

Roy attended Comanche schools and graduated in 1956. His love of ships and submarines inspired Roy to join the US Navy in 1956. He served 20 years in the Navy and retired as a Chief Petty Officer. After retirement, Roy attended OBU. He earned a Bachelor's degree in Sociology.

Roy obtained his license to marry couples. Over the years, many couples were married. In 2004, February 7, Roy married Judy (McMasters)-(Shelby). During their 18-year marriage, they loved to travel the world. He dearly loved his children, grandchildren, and his furbabies, Cat and Miss Kitty.

Roy was preceded in death by his parents; son, George; son, Daniel; grandson, Logan Deardorph; and his dogs, Jake and Little Girl.

Roy is survived by his wife, Judy of Comanche; his children: Gina Corrales and James of Comanche, son, David Hollinsworth of Ardmore; daughter, Cheryl McKenzie of Duncan; daughter, Kathy Rosenthal and husband Michael of Goodyear, Arizona; granddaughters: Caile Corrales and Mia Corrales of Comanche, Madison Escobar and husband Mario of Duncan, Destiny Foster of Duncan, Jade Hollinsworth; grandsons: Kyle Hollinsworth of Oklahoma City, Blake Hollinsworth and Travis Hollinsworth of Ardmore, Michael Rosenthal Jr., Noah Rosenthal; 12 great grandchildren; brothers, Jack Hollinsworth of Duncan, Harvey Cambron and wife Wanda of Tonipaw, Arizona, Leon Hollinsworth; sisters: Jean Hollinsworth, Nancy Hollinsworth; and special friends, Cat and Miss Kitty.

Roy did not want a service and will be "buried at sea."
