District fair coming soon

The Comanche-Empire District Fair will take place Aug. 12 - Aug. 13 in Comanche.

Horticulture, crops, fruits, vegetables, textiles, clothing, crafts, photography, baked goods, canning, 4-H, exhibits and flower show entries will be housed at Patterson Avenue Baptist Church.

Fair entries will be Friday, Aug. 12 from 7:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. All entries must be made, preserved, or grown by the exhibitor during the past year.

Viewing of the fair will be from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

“Best of the Best” Award will be sponsored by the Oak College OHCE.

A ribbon for the flower “Best of Show” will be presented in both senior and junior (18-under) divisions.

Judging will be completed before the fair opens, Aug. 12, at 10:30 a.m. The time of release is Aug. 12, 4 p.m. to 5 p.m.

All livestock entries will be accepted at the Comanche Ag Complex, Aug. 13, 2022 at 8 a.m. Livestock show order will be cattle, swine, sheep and goats.

Classes will be divided according to the number of entries.
