Sandra Ann Webb

Sandra Ann Webb was born on Oct. 12, 1936, in Lubbock, Texas. At the time of her birth, she was given the name Willa Marie Henderson. Ten days later she was adopted by her forever parents Charles Raymond and Edna Frances (Mitchell) Taber of Waurika. At that time she officially became Sandra Ann Taber. She also joined an older brother, Richard Lee Taber. She passed from this life Saturday, Aug. 27, 2022, in Meridian, Oklahoma at the age of 85.

Sandra was a tomboy growing up and loved to play a marble game called "Keepers." She beat all the boys and became the unofficial "marble champ of Waurika." Sandra attended and graduated from Waurika High School.

Sandra started working as a secretary and a bookkeeper for Drs. Hagg and Rosier right after graduation She later went to work for the Department of Human Services, Girls Rodeo Association, Farmers Elevator, and Jefferson County Rural Water Association. She retired from Rural Water the day she turned 70. Her retirement lasted about two months and she found a new job at the Waurika Nutrition Center. She loved to work and be around people. She was a member of Providence Baptist Church. She was a member of the GFWC Sorosis Club and the Red Hat Ladies.
Due to health problems, Sandra finally had to retire for good. She then spent her time following whatever sport her grandkids and great-grandkids were doing at the time. She never missed a game. They were the loves of her life. She also loved watching the Dallas Cowboys and the Sooners play.

Sandra was blessed with three daughters -Dawn Hoskins and husband Chuck, Kelly Ellis and husband Craig, and Patti Kaspereit and husband Harold, and five grandchildren - Heath Ellis and Mandi, Ryan Ellis and Tiffany, Ashley Hoskins an Kolby, Taber Kaspereit and Kynzi and Colin Kaspereit, and 8 great-grandchildren Landon, Dillon, and Myles Ellis, Raelee and Rylee Ellis, and Leo Eleanor, and Charlotte Leeper.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Richard, Pat Webb who was the father of her children, a special friend Royce Cullar, and son-in-law Kent Hoskins.
