Kathryn Joyce Miller

Kathryn Joyce Miller was born on May 10, 1940, in Comanche to Joyce and Ernest “Pop” Wall of Comanche. She was a Comanche High School Graduate in 1958 where she was also the football homecoming queen.

She married the love of her life, Irvin Miller in 1958. They had a beautifully simple life together full of laughter and love.

Kathryn followed her kids' passions and you would see her up and down the rodeo trail supporting her kids and grandkids. She was loved by the entire community. Later in life, she was the head cook for the senior citizen center of Comanche where she would feed around 100 people a day. She even won an award for her cooking. She also loved going to the casino and going to Las Vegas during the NFR. Her life was as beautiful as her moon flowers that were in her front yard. She enjoyed her morning sipping coffee on her front porch while visiting with her family. Her smile and laughter will never be forgotten.

She quietly departed this life on Sept. 3, 2022 surrounded by her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her son Stephen Dee, her brother Keith Wall, sister JoAnn Butler, and her daughter Shelly Miller.

Her beautiful life will be forever remembered in the lives of her children: Dick (Malea) Miller, Keith (Aundy) Miller, and Lori (Chad) Mayo. Her Siblings: Kenny (Sheila) Wall, Randy Wall, Denise Bollig, Terry Ray (Belinda)Yearby. Her Grandchildren: Clint (Rebecca) Miller, Haley McEntire, Samantha (Cody) Gerard, Cody(Taylor) Miller, Blake McLearen, Alex Miller(fiancé Madison Alperin), and Clay (Stacy) Hendon. Her great-grandchildren: Colin Miller, Cooper Green, Kinsye Garret, Ace and Knox Gerard, Emerson and Hayes Miller, Braxton and Aiden McLearen. Great-great grandchild: Lennox Miller and a host of devoted nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Her services will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 7 at 10:00 a.m. at Providence Baptist Church in Comanche. Graveside to follow at Fairlawn Cemetery. Visitations will be held at Comanche Funeral Home on Tuesday evening from 5:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m..
