Charles Larry Reddin

Charles Larry Reddin, of Comanche was born in Tinsman, Ark. on Nov. 8, 1939 to Clarence E. and Nellie May (Tomlinson) Reddin. He completed his earthly journey Sunday, Feb. 12, 2023, in Oklahoma City with his family at his side.

A memorial service is planned for Wednesday, Feb. 15, at 2 p.m. in the Whitt Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Randy Southerland, pastor of New Hope Baptist Church West, officiating. Arrangements have been entrusted to Whitt Funeral Home/Oakcrest Cremation Center.

Charles attended Tinsman High School prior to joining the US Army. He proudly served for five years before his honorable discharge. He married Linda Kay Jones on Nov. 25, 1960 in Galveston, Texas. Their family was completed with the arrivals of their sons – Michael, Steve and Charles. He worked as an independent grocery wholesaler.

He enjoyed gardening and yardwork where he could always be found raking leaves. He also enjoyed fishing. After his retirement from the grocery business, he drove a Duncan school bus for younger children. He was a loving and patient husband and father. Charles loved spending time with his family and friends, but especially loved being with his great-grandchildren. He was a godly man. His final gift was being an organ donor with LifeShare.

Preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Jimmy and Phil Reddin; Charles is survived by his wife of 62 years, Linda; sons: Michael Reddin of Duncan, Steve Reddin of Hampton, AR, Charles R. Reddin of Frisco, Texas; five grandchildren: Misty Reddin, Gary Reddin, Brad Reddin, Sarah Reddin, Christian Reddin; and six great-grandchildren: Zach Castillo, Garrett Castillo, Ryker Reddin, Elizabeth Reddin, Nolan Reddin, Jace Reddin.
