Noah Presgrove Memorial Tournament deemed success

Comanche hosted the second annual Noah Presgrove Memorial Wrestling  Tournament featuring area junior high teams last Friday.
The Jr. Indians and Jr. Lady Indians had good showings with the boys winning first and the girls placing fourth.
“I thought Friday was amazing for Coach (Dailan) Presgrove,” said Casy Rowell. “It was in honor of Noah and I feel like Noah would have been proud looking down knowing that he had a whole tournament named after him. A lot of credit goes to coach Presgrove for organizing it and (CMS principal) Mrs. (Angela) Rouse for stepping up and getting our junior high staff involved, staff and students. That’s unique in our town that she let the school out to come watch, and all the teachers to come out and help. That’s amazing and special thanks to my brother (Cody Rowell) at Elgin, who let us borrow some TVs to help us make each table work. They came in and brought 40 kids. We had teams from Ada, Madill, Duncan, Dickson and Empire.”
For the Comanche boys, Jackson Gardner, Kagen White and Ridge Hall all placed first. Keetyn Selby and Jake Lane placed second. Hunter Roebuck, Valen Hardin and Jaxon Slate took third and Bryson Vansickle and Damien Walker placed fourth.
For the girls’ team, Kadence Cisneroz placed first, and Thalia Hasley, Hayliee Roy and Chloe Jackson placed second. Kaylie Jackson and Billy Clark took third.
“It’s a pretty cool event for these kids, Rowell said. “Our kids got to have a victory at home in front of the home crowd. That’s what we needed to build our program. Our school got to see our girls wrestling and our boys wrestling. That was very, very good for Comanche.”
