Lady Indians faced tough tests at Heart of Oklahoma tourney
The Comanche softball team had a rough going at the Heart of Oklahoma tournament last week in Washington. The Lady Indians went 1-4 at the tournament.
Comanche headed into Tuesday’s district game against Lone Grove with a 7-6 overall record and 2-0 in the district.
Thursday
Noble 6
Comanche 0
Noble had only two hits in the game, but was helped by three errors and seven walks by the Lady Indians.
Noble led 2-0 through four innings, but broke the game open in the top of the fifth with four runs.
Comanche mustered just three hits in the game and were kept off the scoreboard.
Addison Downey, Caity Ramsey and Josey Harris had one hit each to lead the Lady Indians at the plate.
Jentry Whaley was the losing pitcher, giving up three earned runs, one hit, six walks and striking out eight in 4 1/3 innings pitched.

For the second straight game, the Lady Indians outhit their opponent but lost the game.
After trailing 1-0 in the early going, Comanche tied the game with an RBI single by Jaylee Roebuck in the top of the fourth that scored Bre Gill.
Washington retook the lead in the bottom half of the inning with a run and then added three more runs in the bottom of the fifth. Comanche got its final run in the top of the sixth.
Roebuck went 2-for-3, including a double, to lead the Lady Indians at the plate with a run scored and an RBI. Jentry Whaley, Bre Gill, Mykayla Slovak and Addison Downey all had a hit.
Josey Harris was the losing pitcher, giving up one earned run on four hits with three walks and six strikeouts.

Comanche 1
Plainview broke open a close 3-1 game in the top of the sixth with four runs to put the game out of reach.
Comanche could manage only one hit in the game, an RBI double by Jentry Whaley in the bottom of the third that scored Raylee Chaney
Jentry Whaley was the losing pitcher, pitching two innings, giving up five hits, no walks and two strikeouts. All three runs were unearned.

Washington JV 1
The Lady Indians pushed across two runs in the bottom of the third to take a 2-1 lead and then held Washington scoreless in the fourth to get the win.
Both Bre Gill and Mykayla Slovak picked up an RBI in the game and were responsible for both Lady Indian hits. Gill drove in Raylee Chaney and Slovak drove in Gill, who had doubled.
Cloey Kinkade was the winning pitcher, giving up zero earned runs on five hits and walking one.

Comanche 1
Bethel scored two runs in the second inning and it would be all they would need the rest of the way.
Comanche’s lone run came in the third inning when Raylee Chaney scored on a wild pitch.
Bre Gill, Mykayla Slovak, Addison Downey, Cloey Kinkade and Josey Harris all had a hit in the game.
Harris was the losing pitcher, giving up four hits, one earned run, walking two and striking out three.
