Comanche cross country teams run at conference meet
The Comanche cross country teams had their final tune-up before the regional meet with the Canadian Valley Conference Meet held in Lindsay last Tuesday.
On the girls’ side, Comanche had three runners competing, led by Brilee Combs, who finished in 11th place (15:28) over the two-mile course. Karsynn Bowles was next in 23rd place (16:35) and Ava Foraker finished 36th (17:29).
There were 64 runners competing.
The Indians placed fourth as a team with 99 points in their 5K race.
Brycen Lassley was the top finisher for Comanche in 14th place (19:58). Aiden Frye was two spots behind in 16th (20:21). They were followed by Makisig Rogers in 25th (21:17), Gage Jessen in 32nd (22.21), Hunter Lassley in 36th (23:27), Hayden Harges in 39th (23:30), Eric Roy in 40th (23:41) and Hickory Anderson in 58th (29:10).
The teams competed at the regional meet in Waurika on Tuesday.
In junior high girls, Comanche placed fifth as a team. Ellie Scheiver led Comance with a sixth place finish (11:52), followed by Taylor Frye in 25th (12:51), Hayliee Roy in 33rd (13:32), Marissa Cooper in 34th (14:02), Paige Pollard in 44th (14:30), Braley Presgrove in 46th (14:35), Keeley Peacock in 51st (15:01), Stormy Troutman in 56th (15:58), Kylee Powers in 60th (16:26), Ellie Englishbee in 61st (16:45), Hope Carrio in 68th (17:50), Bristol Freel in 69th (17:52), Jasmine Hodgson in 73rd (18:25), Kadence Billy in 83rd (20:26) and Annebelle Stoy in 84th (20:30).
In junior high boys, Joseph Jando led Comanche with an eighth place finish (15:14) with Ridge Hall second on the team in 15th (15:35). They were follwed by Donovan R. Patino in 37th place (18:34) and Braiden Needles in 48th (22:58).
