Fields of Faith flourishes

October 19, 2023

A crowd of more than 200, mostly made up of youth, sang songs, prayed and heard testimonies at the Fields of Faith held in Comanche on Oct. 8.

“This is my fifth year of doing FCA and I used to worry about how people were going to attend and I got really stressed out about it,” FCA sposnors Jack Francis said. “I had a hard time getting to sleep, but God woke me up and gave me a Scripture about feeding his sheep and that I really didn’t need to worry about the numbers because whoever needs to be there will be there. I haven’t worried about it since.”

Francis was quick to point out, that he and junior high FCA leader Connor Kelly had a lot of help putting the event together. There were many parent and community volunteers and Thirsty’s donated 200 hamburgers for the event.

“The parents stepped up and helped get the food together and local churches were helping us,” Francis said. “It was more of a community thing, so it was a blessing that the community was helping support FCA.”

As far as the service, Francis was moved by what he saw.

“We had a powerful worship service,” Francis said.”I really believe this generation is rising up to be an army.”
