Outlaws stifle Indians to advance to final
The Marlow Outlaws used a suffocating defense and limited the Comanche Indians to just seven field goals in the game on their way to a 42-21 win in the semifinals of the 2024 Stephens County Tournament on Thursday.
Marlow never trailed, scoring the first five points of the game and then steadily pulled away. The Indians were not able to get more than six points in any quarter.
Marlow had a balanced scoring attack with two players finishing with 10 points and two other with eight each.
Meanwhile, Comanche just could not get their shots to fall after lighting up the scoreboard in a win over the Outlaws on Jan. 2.
Marlow led 14-6 at the end of the first quarter and 26-12 at the half. Parker Boyles scored seven of his 10 points in the third quarter as the Outlaws took a 34-18 advantage into the fourth quarter.
