Track opens season at Marietta

The Comanche track teams got their season underway at Marietta on March 15. The boys finished fifth, scoring 40 points. The girls finished 13th with three points.

On the boys side, Maksig Rogers picked up third and fourth place finishes in the 110-meter hurdles and the 300-meter hurdles, respectively. Rogers posted a time of 16.94 seconds in the 110-meter hurdles and a time of 44:12 seconds in the 300-meter hurdles.

Brycen Lassley picked up a third place finish in the 3200 meters with a time of 10:45.27.

Corbin Bowen placed fourth in the high jump, clearing 5-08 and Klayton Smith was sixth in the event, clearing 5-04.

Colby Shannon picked up a fourth place finish in the long jump with a leap of 17-11.5.

Comanche’s 400-meter relay team placed third.

On the girls’ side, Brilee Combs picked up a fifth place finish in the 1600 meters with a time of 6:10.59 and a sixth place finish in the 800 meters with a time of 2:44.53.

Karsynn Bowles finished eighth in the 3200 meters with a time of 14:49.69.
