Homecoming parade making comeback in Comanche

On Thursday, Sept. 28, for the first time in a long time, Comanche High School will be having a homecoming parade.
Each high school class will be responsible for decorating a float that fits the theme “We got the Beat”.
Floats should include class name and be based off a song title or lyric.
If anyone would like to have an entry for your business let Jason Schreiner, the Comanche High School principal, know. Parade participants will meet at the Comanche Seed and Grain at 6 p.m. and line up for the parade. Details for line-up will be released closer to time.
The parade will begin at 6:30 p.m. and it will end back at the school for a bonfire (pending weather and burn ban). The winning float will be announced at the high school football game Friday, Sept. 29.
People can vote for the winning float by putting money in the class jar. The class with the most money will win.
The Comanche Chamber of Commerce is also getting into the spirit. All businesses that decorate the front of their business for homecoming will be recognized at the football game on Sept. 29.
Decorations can go up game week or before. There will be a People’s Choice Award similar to the scarecrow contest last year where the decorations with the most likes on Facebook will be named the winner.
