Teen injured in local wreck

A 14-year-old male from Comanche was admitted in critical condition at OU Children's Hospital in Oklahoma City following a UTV accident near County Road 2790 and Paul Road around 11:30 p.m. on Sunday night, according to an Oklahoma Highway Police report.

According to the report, a 14-year-old was driving southbound approximately a mile south of Empire with three passengers, two 14-year-old males and one 12-year-old male, when he departed the roadway to the right and struck an embankment. The vehicle rolled a quarter-time, ejecting one of the passengers with the vehicle landing on the passenger. He was freed by the others in the vehicle.

The 14-year-old was initially taken to Duncan Regional Hospital before being transferred to Oklahoma City.
