Woman killed in accident on Duncan Bypass

EDIT: CORRECTION TO THE SPELLING OF DRIVER FROM LAWTON

One woman was killed and another was sent to the hospital in fair condition following a fatality accident a half-mile south of Bois D'arc Ave. on the Duncan Bypass on Wednesday around 4:30 p.m.
According to an Oklahoma Highway Patrol report, Elizabeth J. Brundige, age 61, of Lawton, was driving a 2019 Chevy Cruze when she collided with a 2020 Toyota Rav4 driven by Maia Bennett, age 59, of Elgin. Brundige was pronounced dead at the scene by Duncan Fire Department paramedics. Brundige's body was transported to the Oklahoma Medical Examiner's office in Oklahoma City. Bennett was taken by ambulance from the scene and admitted at Duncan Regional Hospital.
The cause of the collision is still under investigation.
