James (Jim) Arthur Henry, Jr.

James (Jim) Arthur Henry Jr., 60, of Comanche, went to be with his Heavenly Father in the early morning hours of Sept. 2, 2024. Jim was born Jan. 31,1964 to James Sr. and Patsy (Park) Henry in Wichita Falls, Texas. He graduated from Duncan High School in 1982.
Jim married Kathleen Gordon of Comanche on Aug. 20, 1988 in Comanche. They spent a brief time living in the DFW area before moving back to Comanche to their forever home. Jim spent the majority of his working years as a salesman for Roberts Truck Center out of Ardmore. Jim was a member and a deacon at Patterson Avenue Baptist Church in Comanche where he and his family have attended and served for over 20 years. Jim was an avid fisherman and enjoyed going on fly fishing trips with his father. Over the last few years of his life, Jim had developed a love for smoking meats in his backyard for he and his family to enjoy.
Jim was preceded in death by his father, James (Jim) Henry Sr.; his grandparents: Tommy Henry, Zilla Melton Henry Handley, John Ernest Park, and Johnnie Westona (Toni) Bennight Park; and his father-in-law, Benny Gordon. He leaves behind a large cast of loved ones including his wife Kathleen, of the home; his mother, Patsy Henry of Duncan; sister, Milissa Rachwal and husband Steve of Duncan; three daughters: Rebekah Mildren and husband Hunter of Comanche, Emilee Henry and Alison Henry both of Comanche; two grandchildren: Easton and Hattie Mildren; mother-in-law, Birdia Gordon of Comanche; brother-in-law, Terry Gordon and wife Laura of Comanche; niece, Telayna Brown; great niece Emma Wendt of Comanche; niece, Alicia Lilly and husband Bryce and their daughter Baker of Yukon; nephew, Caleb Gordon and wife Kristen of Fort Worth; and niece, Olivia Rachwal of Los Angeles, CA. He also leaves behind countless others who he loved and who loved him including family, friends, and fellow church members.
Services were at Patterson Avenue Baptist Church on Friday, Sept. 6 with Pastor Kelly Pollock officiating. Interment followed at Fairlawn Cemetery.
