Elizaida Sandoval

Elizaida Sandoval was born on December 22, 1934 in Peñasco, N.M. and departed this life on Jan. 31, 2022 in Walters at 87 years young.

Elizaida married Alberto Sandoval on Nov. 12, 1956 in Albuquerque, N.M. and to this fine union five children were born.  

She was preceded in death by her mother Corina Sanchez, her husband Alberto Sandoval, and sisters Sylvia Brown and Connie Sanchez.

She is survived by her siblings: Orcelia Sanchez, Clora Gonzales, Louisa Valencia and Daniel Martinez; her children: Michael Sandoval and wife Martha of Huntsville, Texas, Marcella Garrison and husband Joe of Walters, Ellen Sandoval of Peñasco, N.M., Anthony Sandoval of Huntsville, Texas, and Bernadette Woods of The Woodlands, Texas, and their adopted daughter, Buffy Kennedy of Conroe, Texas; six grandchildren: Kasee Powers and husband Justin of Comanche; Adam Sandoval of Houston, Texas; Veronika Thoen and husband Matthew of Katy, Texas; Danette Stephan and husband Taylor of Conroe, Texas; Dalton Woods and wife Carissa of Austin, Texas; Alexis Sandoval and husband Brandon of Madisonville, Texas; eleven great-grandchildren: Brayden, Wyatt, Kylee and s/o Gavyn, Averie, Noah, Elena, Eliza, Elliette, Daivy, Sawyer and Khloee. In addition to those listed, there are many other special family members and friends.  

A memorial service will be held on Friday, Feb. 4 at 2 p.m. at Hart-Wyatt Funeral Home Chapel in Walters with great-grandson, Brayden Harris officiating.  A memorial mass will be held in Lawton at Holy Family Catholic Church at a later date.
