Local woman arrested for meth possession

A Meridian woman is facing felony drug charges after being arrested the District 6 Drug and Violent Crimes Task Force on Nov. 16.

According to court records, Patricia Louann Twigg, age 48, who lives on Jackville Lane in Meridian, is being charged with possession of an excessive amount of methamphetamine in the amount of 452.3 grams (approximately one pound).

A news release provided by the Stephens County Sheriff’s Department said the sheriff’s office and the Duncan Police Department assisted the task force in the arrest.

According to the news release, Twigg was arrested for the offense after a traffic stop initiated by the Duncan Police Department.

Twigg has been the subject of an ongoing investigation by the Drug Task Force and the Stephens County Sheriff’s Office.

Bail for Twigg was set at $250,000 with a preliminary hearing on Feb. 21, 2024.
